The Cathedral Quarter Vision

The Cathedral Quarter aims to attract visitors to the area by:

1) Developing a recognisable Cathedral Quarter within the city which promote community spirit and harnesses the support of local businesses.

2) Extending visitor time in the area by promoting the natural environment, heritage, visitor attractions, specialist shopping, restaurants and evening entertainment.

3) Offering a city visitor destination which provided tranquillity as well as discovery to compliment alternative visitor attractions in other parts of the city.

4) Encouraging walking exploration of Tombland, the Cathedral Precincts, The Close, Riverside Walk, Bishopgate, Elm Hill and Elm Hill Gardens.

5) Supporting and taking advantage of Norwich City Council’s proposals for the creation of a pedestrian friendly Tombland.

6) Capitalising on the strengths of Norwich Cathedral as a major attraction to draw visitors into the area.
