on the water ...

The Norfolk Broads have been a favourite holiday and day trip destination for thousands of people ever since they were developed. The 125 mile network of rivers and broads surrounded by low-lying countryside forms Britain's largest protected wetland with status equivalent to a National Park.

Of course, the best way to explore The Norfolk Broads is by boat whether on a cruiser, dinghy, dayboat, yacht, canoe or wherry. There are plenty of boatyards offering boats for hire.

If you would rather take a boat tour than skipper yourself there are plenty to choose from - wherries, electric and solar-powered passenger boats.

Water sports are well catered for with several local centres where you can learn to sail, canoe or windsurf. Accessibility is important to many Broads organisations and businesses and you will find wheelchair accessible tours and day hire, holiday cruisers and opportunites to learn to sail.
