Enjoy The Broads

Bats, Broads and Bio manipulation!

Barton Broad
Celebrate National Parks Week and International Year of Biodiversity seeing and hearing some of the protected creatures special to the Broads. An exciting opportunity to explore Barton Broad by twilight on the Ra solar boat. Come bat hunting with us and find out about the magical and mythical wildlife found in this special wetland. Discover how we are improving the broad for wildlife and people. Light refreshments provided.
Price: £9.50 adult, £7.50 child, £30 family.

Dawn Boat Trip on the Helen of Ranworth
5 September 6.30am to 8.30am (then breakfast)
Ranworth to Cockshoot Broad and return
Experience the magic of the Broads at dawn on the Helen of Ranworth, a traditional reed lighter boat used for carrying reeds in times gone by. We glide silently along in this electric boat from Ranworth Staithe to the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve where a short walk takes us to the bird hide overlooking Cockshoot Broad. Length of walk approx. 1 mile. Trip finishes with full English breakfast at a local pub.

Enjoy fantastic free activities for all the family in the gallery and world stories in the collections, narrated by our guides (12.30pm and 2pm). Then relax with free Sunday papers and music from Eastern Straynotes in our cafe, or head out to play in the parkland surrounding the Sainsbury Centre.
