Coaches and Coach Parking

Norwich, The Broads and the Norfolk countryside welcomes coaches. The Norwich area is a great place for your coach excursion, with designated coach parks and dropping off points throughout Norwich, South Norfolk and Broadland.

***NOTE: St James Hill (Britannia Road) city skyline viewing area (in front of Norwich Prison).
It is advisable to approach this location from Gurney Road (via Mousehold Heath) to avoid the heavily parked residential section of Britannia Road (from Kett's Hill).

Norwich


This historic city has everything for a successful group visit. A magnificent Norman castle, 2 cathedrals, medieval streets, churches and city walls plus a vibrant mix of museums, heritage & culture with all year round events and festivals.

It is amongst the UK's top ten shopping destinations and boasts numerous independent and speciality shops, a newly-refurbished market and two shopping malls. There's also a great choice of meal stops & attractions plus walking tours and river trips to the idyllic Broads - Britain's Magical Waterland.

Coach parking: £6 (Norwich City Football Club home match days £20)

Drivers facilities: No facilities on site, but very close to railway station which has toilets, restaurant and small supermarket.

A 15 minute walk or the No. 25 bus (from the railway station) takes you to city centre.

5 minutes drive from city centre, situated behind Norwich Railway station, off the B1140.

Coach Parking at Park&Ride
Booking for coach spaces at Harford Park&Ride can be made by email to connor.bannon@norfolk.gov.uk or by telephone to Connor on 01603 223845.

Bookings can only be processed Monday to Friday (not weekends).

The coach company/driver will be sent a confirming email to be shown to the driver of the Park& Ride bus for onward travel to and from Norwich bus station and use of the driver facilities there. The confirming email will also include a payment request for £10 per individual coach booked to be posted to the address shown on the email.



Drop Off and Pick Up points

Coach drivers can drop off/pick up their passengers at various locations across the city at designated points. The maximum stay is 10 minutes unless shown otherwise.

Broadland & South Norfolk

Acle
The gateway to the Broads and its landscape of rivers, pastures and windmills. Among the many attractive buildings that add to the town’s atmosphere is the 900 year old St Edmund’s Church.

Aylsham
Medieval market town with 17th and 18th century houses and shops around the market place. Bure Valley Railway runs to Wroxham. Magnificent Jacobean Blickling Hall nearby.

Diss
Betjeman’s favourite Norfolk town set around a picturesque six-acre mere. Pleasant walks through narrow streets, with their mix of Tudor and Victorian buildings.

Harleston
Traditional South Norfolk town with a range of general and specialist shops. Its history is reflected in its Georgian buildings and other landmarks, such as the Italianate clock tower.

Loddon
On the River Chet, a lively boating centre for the Southern Broads. Impressive 15th Century church, wooden mill and Victorian Town Hall.

Reepham
Bustling little town, famous for having three churches in one churchyard! The scenic market square is surrounded by many fine Georgian buildings, shops and eating places.

Wroxham
Known as the “Capital of the Broads” and home to Roy’s, the “world’s largest village store”. The many attractions include the Bure Valley Railway, Broads Tours and Wroxham Barns nearby.

Wymondham
The long history of this market town is reflected in the unusual timber-framed market cross building and the ancient Abbey, which dates from Norman times. Wymondham railway station is a Grade II listed building with a “Brief Encounter” theme restaurant and museum. It’s also the starting point for the Mid-Norfolk Railway which runs to Dereham.
