Known for its history and heritage, Norwich packs as much of a punch with its cultural offering. Museums, exhibitions, festivals, performance and music plus special events – culture in Norwich is thriving 12 months of the year.

Visitors will find Norwich littered with galleries, theatres and entertainment venues with many located in courtyards, alleys and historic buildings like; Norwich Puppet Theatre, Maddermarket Theatre, Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery, Strangers' Hall and The Museum of Norwich. The award-winning Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is a 70's Norman Foster building and The Forum is Norwich's Millennium celebration sporting an incredible glass atrium and outdoor amphitheatre.

Norwich is also England's first UNESCO City of Literature; literary highlights include; The University of East Anglia's Spring and Autumn Literary Festivals, Norfolk & Norwich Festival – City of Literature Festival, Worlds Festival 'Festival in a Day'  and Noirwich Crime Writing Festival, plus others still in the planning.
