Moveable Feast is an evolving company, conscious of good food, opportunity, quality and history.
The main Norwich Feast – we call our participants feasters – has a wide range of cuisine featuring a selection of around 18 restaurants. In recent years, we have concentrated on restaurants located in the City centre to obviate the need for buses or other transportation.
Feasters Buy a ticket and you will be allocated three numbers which equate to three of the 18 participating restaurants. The exciting difference with feasting is that you dine blind. Your particular route of three is notified to you just a week in advance of the evening.
It’s an evening that can also start and end in intriguing places. All 600 feasters in 2008 will start in The Forum for a complimentary beer or wine with canapés and a greeting from the City Cryer. He will introduce the Lord Mayor before you pick up your map, comment and poem competition sheets and set off for your feast.
Starter, main course and dessert will be eaten in different restaurants, followed by a party which this year will be at The Forum. You can dance the night away or chat to friends in this amzaing building
There will be time to finish off your ode or poem if you wish to enter the competition or you could deliberate over the comment sheet to help us improve the feast for next time.
We will offer a vegetarian main course in all participating restaurants and will also offer a service for wheelchair bound diners, by prior arrangement with the main office. We can also assist diners with specific dietary needs.
The entire list of menu choices from each restaurant will be posted out with your feasting venue numbers ten days beforehand. If you have any concerns, you can call our main number.
