Filming
Norwich welcomes people who wish to film or photograph in the city. If you want to film on private property, you will need to seek permission from the relevant property owners - eg Cathedral, Castle and other historic sites. The same applies to council properties such as Norwich Market & Elm Hill.
Permission for filming in and around public areas of Norwich is not normally required with a small crew and hand-held camera, unless it causes an obstruction. However, in all cases, it is advisable to contact Norwich's Film-friendly team for guidance beforehand as you will need a risk assessment and public liability insurance, and it is a good idea for the authorities to be aware that you are filming. The Film-friendly team has the information and contacts you need and can advise you on the best way to proceed.
