Or come prepared for a day out, walking or cycling. A purpose built footpath and cycle path runs alongside the entire nine mile length of the track. A return ticket allows you to travel on and off the train all day. Park your car at The Bure Valley Railway or catch a local or coast hopper bus which stops at the station. The train travels to Brampton, a small village, then Buxton a picturesque watermill village, to Coltisahll by the Broads, finishing at Wroxham, where you can catch a boat. Plan your timetable along with the train to ease the length of the journey. There are many nice paths which also spur from here, details are available at the Aylsham Tourist Information Centre at the station. Remember the summer holidays are six weeks long, you could walk or cycle more next time. Purchase the Friends family membership to receive reduced fares.

It is also a fun opportunity to get children interested in the engineering side of the railway. The Bure Valley Railway hopes to encourage this interest in the younger generation. The staff at the station are always willing to answer any questions. The Bure Valley Railway offers a great train day out”.
