Channel 4’s Embarrassing Illnesses team hit the st

Following the success of Channel 4’s hit health series Embarrassing Illnesses last year, Maverick Television are making a new series covering the four corners of the country to be aired later this year.

Doctors and series presenters Christian Jessen, Pixie McKenna and Dawn Harper, will be available for photographs and interview, ahead of their forthcoming Embarrassing Illnesses: Women's Health Special, which will be filmed at The Mall Norwich (next to the Castle) on Saturday 9th February 2008.

The doctors will be spending Monday 28th January on the streets of the City Centre raising awareness of the forthcoming event by meeting and speaking with the women of Norwich, and handing out fliers giving details of when and where the filming is taking place.

On Saturday 9th February, Dr Jessen, Dr McKenna and Dr Harper will be at the Castle Mall, Norwich offering the women of Norfolk the opportunity to drop in for an appointment and discuss any health concerns they may have.

Mark Downie, Executive Producer of Embarrassing Illnesses said: "British women are so busy juggling their careers, home life and relationships that all too often they put everyone else in their lives before themselves. So our doctors are making it easier than ever before for Britain’s time-poor women to get a proper health check by setting up a women’s health convenience store – a one stop shop for all things gynaecological - in the middle of one of Britain’s busiest shopping centres, The Castle Mall in Norwich".

Steph Harris, Series Editor of Embarrassing Illnesses added: "There's nothing our Embarrassing Illnesses doctors haven't seen before. We look forward to welcoming the women of Norfolk to come along share their health concerns with our doctors at the Castle Mall on Saturday 9 February from 9am."

The doctors will aim to see as many “walk-ins” as they can on the day, but a certain number of appointments will be reserved for women who contact us in advance, details of which are below.
