Feast of local food producers to gather at Norfolk

Over 20 local food and drink producers will gather at Roys of Wroxham between 26th and 31st May to showcase their wares at the Roys Summer Food Fayre.
This free-to-attend event will see one of the largest gatherings of producers anywhere in Norfolk and will feature many of Norfolk and Suffolk’s leading award-winning local producers, including seafood supplier Jonas and Sons from Cromer, stock from multi-award winning Aspall Cyders from Debenham, Woodfordes from Drayton, family run Broadland Hams from Norwich, Norfolk Ice cream from Dereham plus many more.

The local community will also be well supported with strawberries from Horstead, apple juice from Wroxham and potatoes from the Buxton Potato Company all featured. Not only does this ensure food miles are kept to a minimum, but food yards too!

Visitors will be able to take advantage of free tastings, speak to producers first hand, receive recipe tips and take advantage of the great service on offer in the knowledge they are supporting the local community and local companies.

The event is the first of two events planned at Roys Hoveton store this year, with other similar events taking place at their other stores in the near future. Roys works closely with local producers and member organisations, such as Tastes of Anglia, to source the highest quality, locally produced food available – at a price that favours suppliers and customers.

One of the exhibitors, Pauline Butler from Blythburgh Free Range Pork, comments "Roys have a food hall that is brimming with locally sourced products and, in my experience, is unrivalled by any retailer nationwide."
