Norwich has a huge choice of places to eat and drink in the evenings, many are independent businesses with friendly local people at your service. Enjoy local produce menus - wholesome and homemade with fine wines and beers. There’s also al-fresco dining to be enjoyed so when the weather is fine, you can get outside to enjoy the continental atmosphere that this medieval city radiates.

And let us not forget the public houses! It is said that there used to be a pub in Norwich for every day of the year. Norwich is blessed with plenty of the above! There is a plethora of evening entertainment for you to indulge in; music, dance, theatre, films, festivals, art - the list goes on and on. Walking
Summer nights in Norwich - there really is no better way to spend your evening than by taking an early walking tour with a Blue Badge Guide, followed with a meal and a drink by the river – what more could you ask for? Contact the Tourist Information Centre for further information.

Dancing
Norwich has many night clubs for you to dance the night away – mainly located in the Prince of Wales Road area. Nearer Christmas many of the city’s hotels and restaurants offer dinner dances and New Year’s Eve parties.

Countryside

The beautiful and tranquil countryside in Norfolk has evening entertainment in abundance for you, whatever the time of year. In autumn and winter cozy up by a warm fire with a pint of Norfolk Ale, in spring and summer soak up the evening sun in a pretty garden or by the river. Summer BBQ’s, live music - travel by boat or cycle around the Broads.

The market towns of Norfolk can provide some of the most stunning food from trendy bistros to homely gastro pubs. This is famous farming country providing many restaurants with a wealth of delicious local produce. Look out for Norfolk cheese, samphire, Cromer crab and asparagus, to name but a few.

How about a fun night out at the races? Yarmouth Stadium offers greyhound racing every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and motor racing throughout the year. Into football? Depending on when you are here you may be able to catch a game at Norwich City Football Club.

Families
