Taking yourself off for a trip on the river is one of the best ways to explore and enjoy the countryside. Choose between hiring a vessel for an hour, a day, a week or more, and there are no shortage of types of craft to choose from. Water sports are well catered for with several centres where you can learn to sail, canoe or windsurf.
