Norfolk Open Studios 08
17th May - 1st June 2008

From Saturday 16th May to Sunday 1st June, 254 artists' studios will be open to the public, celebrating the county's artistic energy, diversity, ambition and achievement. It's a wonderful event and one of the biggest of its type in the UK.

Whether you're interested in oils, sculpture, watercolours, linocuts, quilting, basket-making, collage, photography, etchings, sketches, pots or fabric design, Norfolk Open Studios has plenty to offer everyone.
As part of Norfolk Open Studios, artists welcome you into their own artistic worlds, where you can browse, buy, commission new work or simply find out exactly how and what they do.

But where do you start? With so many artists taking part, it could be difficult to know where to begin. A good place to start is at one of the "taster" exhibitions held around the county. They are almost always staffed by artists, and the taster event gives visitors the chance to see some of the artists' work in the flesh and decide who to visit.

There are five taster sessions this year so why not come along and remember to bring a notepad to make a note of which artists you want to visit!
