The Giving Tree

Put a smile on a child's face this Christmas by donating a gift to the Giving Tree Appeal. Help your own children understand the real value of Christmas by choosing together a gift to donate to this very worthy cause – however large or small it will make a difference. Wrap the present up, label it boy or girl with the approximate age and ask your child to make the donation. All presents are distributed between the Umbrella Housing Association who support single parent families in times of need and Leeway Women's aid who help families affected by domestic abuse.

Theatre 101 - formerly of RAF Coltishall - will be presenting their 4th Christmas Pantomime at the Puppet Theatre. (Please note that this is not a puppet show!) With dames and songs and laugher this is a traditional pantomime show for ALL the family!

Dragon Hall’s annual Medieval Christmas Market returns with traders in period costume from all over the UK and northern Europe selling a wide variety of medieval themed goods and original crafts. Seasonal refreshments provided by Expresso.

Now in its third year, this popular annual event gives shoppers the opportunity to buy Christmas presents with a difference. A range of stalls will be selling historical items and replica artefacts from the last 2000 years - everything from Roman mosaics to rope, frankincense to fudge, pottery to pewter.

Come and explore this wonderful Tudor house and see the Great Hall traditionally decorated with greenery. Admire the Victorian rooms with Christmas tree, crackers and cards. Meet costumed characters and hear atmospheric music. Try your hand at Christmas crafts and visit Father Christmas in his Victorian grotto.

Travel to the land of mice where hardworking little Cindermouse finds love in the arms of a Prince. Reminiscent of the Cinderella story, this enchanting and humorous tale is a classic Little Angel production brought to life for a whole new set of young theatre-goers.

John Lewis, Norwich FREE Event
Sunday 20 December, 5 – 7pm

The 2009 Ice Sculpture trail starts at John Lewis and this year's theme is Norwich at play. The sculptures are created from approximately 10 tonnes of ice and are hand-carved by a team of five over 3 months in London. They are sculpted in the Samurai tradition with Japanese tools and then delivered to Norwich at minus 25C.

This year find out who Mr Pastry was, and what rock hero played in the city. Watch live carving at The Whiffler outdoor theatre and follow the trail full of stories and memories through the heart of Norwich from Ber Street to Norwich Castle Gardens.
