Major trunk roads to the Norwich area are the M11, A11, A12, A140 (from London, the south, the ferry ports and the Channel Tunnel) and the A14, A47, A1/M1 (from the north and west).

Norwich Council car parks are now open 24 hours a day and seven days per week in the run up to Christmas and the New Year. The only exception will be St Giles car park, which will close each night between 1am and 7am.
These opening times include the period from Christmas Eve through to the end of January.

With almost 5000 spaces, Norwich Park & Ride will be operating throughout the Christmas festivities, offering half price parking after 12.30pm daily. Easy access buses operate every 10-15 minutes with last buses departing the city centre at 7.30pm weekdays, (9.30pm Thursdays) and 5.30pm on Sundays.
A free
‘Shop & Go’ service is available at the Airport, Harford and Thickthorn sites (not Sundays) between
12noon and 3pm. Drop your shopping off at one of the convenient city centre locations and pick it up at the Park & Ride enquiry office on your return.

Norwich Railway Station is located in central Norwich, a 5 minute walk from the city centre. Train operator
‘one’ runs trains to Norwich from London’s Liverpool Street Station, every 30 minutes during the day. The journey time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes.
A direct service also links Cambridge to Norwich, with an approximate journey time of 1 hour 10 minutes.
Central Trains offer connecting services from the Midlands, north of England and Scotland via Peterborough.

By Coach
National Express coaches travel to Norwich from London and other major cities several times daily. The London to Norwich journey time is around 3 hours.
National Express Airport links the main London airports to Norwich with a regular direct service – up to 10 times a day from Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

By Bus
Excel is a fast inter-urban coach network operated by First, which links Norwich with towns and villages across the region.
All coaches stop at Norwich’s state-of-the-art bus station located in the city centre at Surrey Street. The bus station houses an information desk, café, secure cycle storage and comfortable waiting facilities.
