Go to www.EDP24.co.uk/norwichristmas

NORWICHRISTMAS now in its third year and presents for 2009 more events and things to do then ever before. Heading up the city’s Christmas celebrations is the huge and fabulous 60ft Christmas tree which is the centrepiece of The Forum this year. The tree will be lit with 10,000 low carbon emission LED lights and will be a focal point for activities at the landmark building and across Norwich.
Norwich City in twinkling like mad ready for Christmas!(literally!) All the lights are on and the 60 ft Christmas tree outside of The Forum looks spectacular with its 12,000 LED lights.

From 19 November Christmas events and activities really come alive. Whether you are 8 months old or 108 years old there is something for everyone to enjoy. There are a 6 Christmas markets - 2 alternative with a special creative twist, a Polish market, an Historic market, a Festive Fayre and a Medieval market most of which are hosted in iconic Norwich buildings. And if you are into iconic buildings and fancy a walk around Norwich, whether you are a visitor or a resident, you will enjoy this 90 minute tour taking in some of the most important and famous buildings of this medieval city. HEART have put together a self-guided walking trail weaving in historical facts about the city and some quirky festive stories from years gone by. Download the Heritage Walking Trail here.

In the mix there are opportunities to support various charitable trusts including The Giving Tree in The Mall, Carols with The King at The Forum and the Ribs of Beef Annual Christmas Carol Service. Other Christmassy events are concerts, carol singing, music, theatre, cinema, the not to be missed Vintage Gallopers at The Forum and of course the annual Ice Sculpture Trail the last Sunday before Christmas - see our December events for full details. Plus much much more.
