From mid
November last year Norwich shops, businesses and public buildings hosted colourful wooden
Christmas trees with beautiful Christmas designs by local Norwich artists. These trees formed the NORWICHRISTMAS Tree Art Trail in association with
Norwich Arts Centre. Across the city centre this exciting
family friendly trail ran until
Twelfth Night (5 Jan). Watch this space to see what 2012 will offer!
Other
Christmas highlights included a
white Christmas at
The Forum. Once an hour, from early December until Christmas Eve, an artificial
snow shower fell in front of the building creating a festive treat for visitors. In addition there were
Christmas markets at
The Forum,
The Mall and
Dragon Hall. Dates will soon be released for 2012 so don’t miss the opportunity to indulge in quality
Norfolk crafts and winter food. Also enjoy
costumed stallholders, period musicians and so much more in remarkable surroundings or fine
heritage buildings.
And if you want to immerse yourself in nostalgic celebrations, special exhibitions and evoking musical events head for
The Forum,
Norwich Cathedral,
Norwich Castle,
St Andrew’s Hall and
St John's Roman Catholic Cathedral. Day and night you will find an enthralling
programme of entertainment.
No Christmas would be complete without a visit to the
pantomime whatever your age.
Norwich Theatre Royal puts on a 5-week performance of panto fun annually. Watch a star studded cast tread the boards in this traditional, funny, energetic production that is guaranteed to bring the house down!
