Discover the
Norfolk Broads by canoe or day cruiser, explore the surrounding countryside by bike, or just soak up the glorious views across the marshes from the comfort of your luxury accommodation or our riverside Touring Park.
Enjoy a swim in our
indoor heated pool, or let the kids use up their energy on the adventure tower before visiting the new wildflower garden, where they can spot insects & bugs and hide out in the pollarded willow huts. Our
family-friendly pub is open every day, and our shop and off-licence stocks everything you need including clothing, fishing & camping gear, gifts and a range of local produce including Eddie’s famous beer.
If you do feel the need to escape by car, popular day trips include Somerleyton with its stately home and maze, the historic market town of Beccles and Oulton Broad with its lovely park & gardens. Golf and horse riding are both available within a 15 minute drive and the popular beaches of
Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Southwold are less than 30 minutes away, as is the historic city of
Norwich - one of the UK’s top retail and cultural destinations.
Lodge Holidays
Our luxury holiday lodges, cottage and penthouses are spacious and exceptionally well appointed, featuring fully integrated kitchen appliances, digital TV & DVD and south or west facing balconies with superb views across the marshes. Each lodge features a bird feeder in the garden, so that you can do some wildlife spotting from the comfort of your lounge or balcony.
Touring & Camping
For the campers and caravanners amongst you, we also offer our camping and touring site with an idyllic south-facing location overlooking the marina and river, with leisure centre, showers, toilets and wash up area all immediately adjacent. Use of the showers and toilets are included in the price of your pitch, and there are no extra person charges. There is also a launderette, with commercial grade coin-operated washing machines, tumble dryers & iron.
Our new
luxury shower block has a host of energy-saving eco-features, including some of the most environmentally-friendly low-carbon showers anywhere in the country. From the Queens Award-winning water heating system, right down to the hand dryers, lighting and shower heads, we have considered our impact on the environment at every stage. The 10 individual wet rooms feature underfloor heating, one is adapted for the needs of the disabled and the two larger family rooms include a baby changing mat & a toddler seat. Customer feedback has been superb, including one family who cancelled their summer camping holiday in Devon to re-book with us instead, purely on the strength of the showers!

Local Community
We are proud to support the
East Anglian Air Ambulance, a life-saving service which receives no government or lottery funding. To keep its two air ambulances flying over £3 million per year has to be raised. When you book your holiday with us, we ask that you make a £1 donation to help them keep saving lives every day.

Eddie
Welcome to the world of A Fish Called Eddie - probably the biggest galvanised steel pike in the world. From his riverside vantage point he observes all that is interesting, humourous or silly and posts it on his blog,
www.afishcallededdie.com. As a born-again conservationfish he loves to see your local wildlife photographs and likes it best when people sit on his tail.
Eddie's Secret Garden is a new wildlife area where children can get close to the local natives including butterflies, bugs and birds. The garden features 'live' willow hide & seek huts, bird feeders, 2 'bug hotels', a stumpary and a pond-dipping dinghy, as well as a friendly dinosaur climbing seat carved from an old tree trunk.
