Frightful Fancies Halloween Afternoon Tea and Halloweenies (under 12s)
Tasteful Halloween fancy dress is encouraged! Book here at www.assemblyhousenorwich.co.uk or call 01603 626402
As the witching hour nears, The Assembly House in Norwich is planning a devilishly delicious Halloween Afternoon Tea. Designed by pastry wizard Mark Mitson running from October 23 to 31 following in the footsteps of the incredibly popular sold-out Rainbow Unicorn Afternoon Tea in the summer, which saw more than 3,500 teas themed teas served over a fortnight.
There will also be another scarily good showstopping cake to look out for from Great British Bake Off 2016 contestant Kate Barmby to look out for in the Grand Hall, this time with a distinctly spookily theme.
Served on tiered cake stands in the opulent dining rooms of The Assembly House, the tea will consist of layers of delicate finger sandwiches (not real fingers), the House's famous fruit scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam and cheese, Colman's Mustard and chive scones served with butter and a spectacular layer of themed cakes, including a Red Velvet Gateau Opera with dark layers of butterceam topped with a white chocolate spider's web, a blackcurrant macaron topped with a sugar ghost and a choux pumpkin.
Several days have already sold out, so book quickly to avoid disappointment!
