Panto - Sleeping Beauty

From Wednesday 13th December 2017 to Sunday 14th January 2018

The Theatre Royal is one of the few theatres of its size in the UK to create and produce its own panto, unusually for panto, there is also a live six-piece band playing specially arranged music, which adds greatly to the atmosphere. Panto stalwart Richard Gauntlett pens and directs the show, as well as starring in it. Join us as we tell the magical tale of Sleeping Beauty, a princess cursed by a very bad-tempered guest the evil wicked witch. One day the Princess will prick her finger and falls asleep for a hundred years! But will a handsome young prince be able to save the princess?

 Oh yes he will….. Oh no he won't!

 Featuring dazzling costumes, stunning sets, mischievous fun and thrilling musical numbers that will excite the whole family at Christmas time… and Gillian Wright from EastEnders!

 Signed performance on Saturday 13 January at 2.30pm, Audio-described performance on Wed 3 January and Saturday 6 January at 2.30pm. Captioned performance on Sunday 7 January at 1pm.

Relaxed performance especially suited to those with autism on Friday 5 January at 5.30pm which can be booked in person, or by phone.
