Episcanarius Brass Quintet | Head Out, Not Home

Castle and Marketplace

Episcanarius Brass Quintet is a versatile ensemble which was formed in 2020 by Dennis Frere-Smith soon after he returned to his home town of Norwich.  Having completed a long and varied career as a professional musician and teacher in both the UK and abroad, Dennis wanted to continue providing top quality musical entertainment with a group of excellent local brass players.   This popular format of two Trumpets, French horn, Trombone and Tuba has a wonderful repertoire of music including Renaissance masterpieces, Baroque beauties, Classical concert favourites, Jazz, Swing, Pops and novelty pieces.  You can be sure of a thoroughly entertaining performance of top quality brass musicianship from five very talented musicians who have many years’ of performing experience ranging from Orchestral concerts and Theatre shows to Big Bands, Jazz and Corporate events.

Head Out, Not Home is a series of free live music and entertainment events happening in Norwich city centre throughout the summer. Taking place Sunday afternoons from 24 July to 4 September, these free family friendly performances are open to all.
