Ulysses Street Show | Head Out, Not Home

Castle and Marketplace

ULYSSES combines music, comedy, and physical theatre, to offer an entertaining outdoor piece for all the family, that draws on the story of Ulysses’ return from Troy – the Odyssey.

Enter a surreal world of gods, witches, and monsters, where nothing is as it seems, and everything is working to stop you from getting home. Having angered the Gods, Ulysses, the architect of the Trojan Horse and the downfall of Troy, is cursed to face a world of challenges, monsters, and distractions as he battles to return home.

Rabo de Foguete and Twisted Reality Productions retell the epic story of Ulysses’ return from Troy, bringing new energy to this classic tale in a new piece of street theatre. Through music, comedy, and physical theatre, they offer an enthralling reflection on the human condition and a new allegory for a soldier’s return from war.

Rabo de Foguete is an outdoor arts company based in Norwich, UK, with a focus on carnival, music and street theatre. Rabo brings the spirit of carnival to a range of music-driven performances, from stage to parade and static street shows, using the inverted world of carnival and carnivalesque to reflect and comment upon the human condition.
