Medieval Churches of Cathedral Quarter

Fifty-seven parish churches are known to have stood within the walls of medieval Norwich. Despite damages and losses, thirty-one of them remain standing today and are the greatest concentration of urban medieval churches north of the Alps. These churches are the embodiment of centuries of change — tangible evidence of the developing history of the city's architecture and community from the Middle Ages to the present.
