On Foot

With its higgledy piggledy medieval street pattern, cobbled streets and network of alleyways and lanes, the best way to explore Norwich is on foot. Whilst you're strolling around, take advantage of Norwich's free wifi in the city centre to stay connected; select ‘Free-Wifi-NorwichBID’ and one of four options to connect with (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and registration form). Registration is only required once; afterwards the device will automatically connect to the free WiFi whenever it is in range.

Look out for the distinctive street signs helping you to navigate your way to main attractions and points of interest.

Try the Over The Water Churches Trail and explore the Northern district of Norwich; download the map here.

Make sure you make the Tourist Information Centre your first point of call in any of our towns, for maps and trails to help you get around. Download the TIC Walking Tours leaflet here.

If you want to explore the city in a more hands on way, download the VisitNorwich App. On there you can use the interactive Trails function, which guide you round city on different Trails. From Literary, to Murals, there is something for everyone.
