Houghton Hall

Built in the 1720’s for Great Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, Houghton Hall remains one of England’s finest Palladian houses. Houghton was built with an eye to reflecting the wealth, taste, and power of its owner.

Winner of the Christie’s and HHA ‘Garden of the Year Award’, the 5 acre walled garden has become one of Houghton’s most popular attractions, and the garden and grounds also feature an impressive collection of contemporary sculptures by world renowned artists as well as St Martin’s Church.
