At the Norfolk Mead, we pride ourselves on offering an innovative and exciting dining experience, delivered by our Executive Chef Damien Woollard and Head Chef Kieran Barrett.
We serve dinner every evening of the week in our lively yet intimate restaurant which seats 40-60 guests.
We offer a daily A la Carte menu, as well as Sunday lunch, and Damien oversees the breakfasts, lunch, afternoon teas, picnic hampers and wedding and event catering.
Our Restaurant was awarded 2 AA rosettes in March 2016 and our most recent AA inspection praised the lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and our enjoyable dishes.
The Norfolk Mead is a luxury 4 star boutique hotel with award‐winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant with spa, cottages and summer houses in the grounds. The hotel is in a beautiful spot by their own Broad on the edge of the Broad’s National Park, just 6-miles from Norwich.
The Norfolk Mead has now launched a ‘1740’ Gin with local distillery Black Shuck.
The ‘Norfolk Mead 1740’ Gin is distilled with Blackberry and Elderflower and has been one year in the making working in collaboration with Norfolk distillery Black Shuck. The bespoke label merges the two brands in the Hotel’s special shade of grey, featuring an illustration of the hotel frontage. The gin reflects the essence of the Norfolk Mead, and what it is like to visit and spend time in the hotel’s historic and atmospheric surroundings. The Georgian Mansion was built in 1740, so this was an obvious choice for the name.
