The Assembly House Restaurant

Drive-thru Afternoon Teas and Afternoon Cheese and new Richard Hughes Ready Meals.

Food and drink is as important to us at Christmas as festive lighting, music and the Christmas tree! This year The Assembly House offers a resplendent Nania Cakeaway takeaway from Wednesday to Sunday each week during lockdown. And then in the actual house when we are able to get out and about again (check website for full details).

Collection slots are available from 11am till 2.30pm from their beautiful courtyard. There will be no need to leave your car, just pull into the courtyard at your designated time slot. You can of course collect on foot too.

In addition to Cakeaway, they will also be offering a brand new Afternoon Cheese as a takeaway, a savoury version of the famous afternoon tea all guarded by a sugar mouse!

This includes beautifully crafted finger sandwiches, a selection of Mrs Temple’s local cheeses (with pickled grapes, apple chutney, Miller’s Damsel crackers and butter) and other afternoon tea favourites including Mark Mitson’s famous cheese scone, a red onion and cranberry tart, parmesan shortbread and a cream cheese, tomato and smoked paprika muffin.

Check their website for details of Richard’s ready meals and other treats available for order.

Treat yourself, treat others and also don’t forget you can purchase gift vouchers for stays, meals and afternoon tea’s in 2021.
