From Sunday 10th September 2017 10:00 to 17:00
Be inspired by the wonderful velvet, coffey, damask and tapestries that adorn the walls of Holkham Hall to create your very own section of wallpaper.
Join artist David Allsop who will introduce you to designers and artists who have used pattern to create wallpaper, such as William Morris, Andy Warhol and Mark Hearld.
Your day will include a visit to Holkham Hall to see the patterns and designs used in the staterooms and David will share tips and techniques to help you with your design. Using a simple 2 colour printing process, you will then create a piece of wallpaper with a repeat pattern of your final design.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, from absolute beginners to those with a bit more experience wishing to explore a different take on a form of art. All materials, a buffet lunch and free car parking are included.
Tickets: £50 per person, includes car parking, buffet lunch and entrance to Holkham Hall.
