From Friday 1st December 2017 to Sunday 21st January 2018
LEGO® lovers are in for a treat when The Forum welcomes the Brick Wonders exhibition to Norwich from Friday 1 December – Sunday 21 January 2018. This family-friendly exhibition, curated by artist Warren Elsmore, features 500,000 LEGO® bricks to take visitors on a journey of discovery of amazing sites from around the world.
The Forum is hosting Brick Wonders in its Gallery space and entry to the exhibition is free. Visitors will be able to marvel at the seven wonders of the ancient world and be wowed by modern, natural and historic wonders from all seven continents. The exhibition invites visitors to travel from an Egyptian pyramid to the Matterhorn Mountain, to enjoy the natural wonder of the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) and take in the bustle of Old London Bridge.
There’s a chance to re-discover everyday marvels such as electricity and the Internet as well as an incredible centrepiece of a 2x4 metre model of an airport, complete with working runway lights. Brick Wonders also features many more LEGO® models and structures, including tiny models to inspire building at home, to larger mosaics and dioramas. Visitors to The Gallery will also be able to enjoy watching LEGO® films and get creative on the graffiti wall.
This special exhibition inspires creativity in all ages and offers a renewed sense of awe at the world around us. Brick Wonders has visited art galleries, museums, and exhibition centres from Italy to Northern Ireland, and The Forum and local exhibition partner, Jarrold, are delighted to bring Brick Wonders to Norwich for its first visit to the east of England.
The exhibition will be open daily in The Forum’s Gallery from 1 December – 21 January* between 10am – 4pm (*closed 24 – 26 December). For further information please visit theforumnorwich.co.uk or warrenelsmore.com/brickwonders.
