Bug-themed fun at intu Chapelfield this summer

From Wednesday 31st July 2019 to Thursday 29th August 2019

Through to 29 August, the intu family club are offering families free activities every Wednesday and Thursdayfrom 10am – 4pm. And this summer, the intu family club sessions are inspired by nature, wildlife, and in particular – creepy crawlies, making it great entertainment for children who love discovering more about insects, mini beasts and the great outdoors.Towards the end of the school holidays, intu Chapelfield will also become home to a stunning new sculpture tour, due to arrive in the centre on 31 August.

The Big Bug Tour will see 12 ginormous, intricately designed and very lifelike insect sculptures arrive at intu Chapelfield. Featuring a giant-sized butterfly, ladybird, grasshopper, honeybee and many more, the Big Bug Tour has been travelling around intu shopping centre's UK-wide. The next stop is Norwich, offering visitors the chance to see some of nature’s smallest creatures, up close and personal, and in supersize form!

  • 21 August: Norfolk Wildlife Trust make paper pot planters and seed bombs. Spot a butterfly living statue in the centre too.
  • 22 August: Tales from a magical woodland storyteller. Make bug-inspired crafts with the RSPB.
  • 28 & 29 August: Enjoy some bug-tacular face painting and learn about landscapes with the Broads Authority.

Sessions are planned every Wednesday and Thursday at intu Chapelfield, from 31 July to 29 August, 10am – 4pm. The intu family club is located on the lower ground mall outside Boots. 
All sessions are free for intu family club members.
To join in, existing members should bring their intu family club membership card along on the day. New members should head to https://intu.co.uk/family-club and complete the registration in advance.
