Digital media have transformed how information is disseminated and how politicians target potential voters, leading to fears of 'fake news' manipulating public opinion. John Rust, director of the Cambridge Psychometrics Centre, will talk about their controversial work in predicting how voters think and choose, and UEA political theorist Alan Finlayson will respond.
This season of Dragon Hall Debates will take place at the Millennium Library, The Forum, while Dragon Hall undergoes renovation to open as the National Centre for Writing in 2018. The bar will be open for refreshments during the event.
