Dragon Hall Debates: Should we edit genes?

Wendy Harwood from the John Innes Centre will discuss the use of new gene editing technology in agriculture, looking at how this could contribute to improved agricultural crops, while Norwich Medical School’s Tom Shakespeare will discuss the possible impact of gene editing on human disease, and the ethical questions this raises.

This season of Dragon Hall Debates will take place at the Millennium Library, The Forum, while Dragon Hall undergoes renovation to open as the National Centre for Writing in 2018. The bar will be open for refreshments during the event. Free, booking essential.
