Dragon Hall Debates: Who’s afraid of populism?

From Monday 23rd April 2018 19:30 to 21:30

The election of Donald Trump, the threat of populists in France and the Netherlands – not to mention in Poland, Hungary and Turkey – has caused some to fear for the health of liberal democracy. Why are so many disengaged from or dismayed by their legislators and governments? Is populism a challenge or an opportunity?

This season of Dragon Hall Debates will take place at the Millennium Library, The Forum, while Dragon Hall undergoes renovation to open as the National Centre for Writing in 2018. The bar will be open for refreshments during the event. Free, booking essential.
