MARLON JAMES was born in Jamaica in 1970, and grew up in Kingston. He is the author of three novels, The Book of Night Women, John Crow's Devil and, most recently, the astonishing A Brief History of Seven Killings, which won the Man Booker Prize, the American Book Award and the Anisfield-Wolf Award for Fiction. Marlon lives in the US and is an English Professor at Macalester College, Minnesota. His latest novel is the first in his Dark Star trilogy, Black Leopard, Red Wolf.
