From Saturday 6th April 2019 10:00 to 16:30
A welcoming day of discovery creating wider access to the museum and collections.
With dedicated, accessible tours of our Castle Keep and permanent collections, as well as tours of the exhibition: Viking Rediscover the Legend. Plus relaxed performances of our family drama, Hiccup the Viking, which are suitable for those families who might benefit from a relaxed performance environment, including those with an autism spectrum condition or learning disability. Please note that spaces on these performances are deliberately limited and will be kept small and informal.
Enjoy dedicated quiet spaces in the museum, object handling, our Viking selfie station, costumes, crafts and more!
Disabled visitors receive discounted entry to the museum and are encouraged to bring one companion with them free of charge.
