From Saturday 14th October 2017 10:00 to 23:30
There are only a few days left until Norfolk's favourite family food event. Porkstock is on Saturday 14 October at the Norfolk Showground. This awesome celebration of Norfolk produce is run entirely by a team of hard-working volunteers; with all profits going to Nelson’s Journey, the Norfolk charity which supports bereaved children.
There are two, very different, faces of Porkstock:
THE FREE DAYTIME FOOD FESTIVAL – 10am till 5pm
During the day Porkstock is a free family festival for food, music and fun-lovers of all ages and you don’t need a ticket.
Get ready for a fantastic selection of food and drink from local producers, lots of live music, a sausage eating contest, kids’ games, activities and lots of family fun. And this year it’s all undercover so no need to worry about the rain!
The cookery stage is at heart of the daytime event. Sponsored by Porkstock patron Charlie Hodson, the founder of Charlie’s Norfolk Food Heroes, with Feast Norfolk Magazine as media sponsor, the stage will host demos and talks from some of the region’s leading chefs, butchers and restaurateurs.
THE EVENING KNEES UP – 7pm till midnight
As the sun goes down the Porkstock Party comes alive. This is an adult-only, ticketed event where music takes over from food as the main attraction.
Live bands play through the night, while the Gin Palace welcomes back Tallulah and the Goodtimes Republic, an electro-swing extravaganza not to be missed.
Last year, more than 3,000 people attended Porkstock, with 1,000 tickets sold for the evening knees up, raising more than £10,000 for Nelson’s Journey.
A few tickets still remain for the Evening Knees Up; to get yours visit www.porkstock.co.uk
