SPOOKY MASQUE BALL 2019

From Friday 1st November 2019 00:00 to 00:00

It is going to be a scream! Ghosts, ghouls and the macabre are taking centre stage at Norwich Theatre Royal this Halloween as organisations across the region are invited to a stylishly spooky spectacular to support its wide-ranging education and community programme.

The building will be witch-ly transformed both inside and out, and guests can enjoy an evening of decadent feasting, blood-curdling cocktails, wicked entertainment and an endless stream of treats (and tricks) all sprinkled with the magic of theatre.

On the night, there will be the opportunity to help us smash our fundraising target with the chance to bid on money-can’t-buy items in our live auction and spooky lucky dip followed by a host of entertainment with projections, live performance and the chance to dance and party the night away on Theatre Royal’s historic stage.

And the event proceeds will be spent on ensuring children and young people get the opportunity to enjoy live performances at the theatre, in school and in their community. Every pound raised at the gala is critical to achieving that goal.

Buying just one ticket for the ball will pay for a family workshop linked to a show.

Meanwhile if you take a full table, it could fund bursaries for six young people from deprived areas of our county to take part in a training course for a whole year.

Paula Sanchez, the theatre’s development director, said: “We are inviting the public to don their bewitching best and enjoy an evening of frightful and mystical madness all while raising funds to support our transformational work.”

Stephen Crocker, Norwich Theatre Royal chief executive, added: “As a registered charity, we work hard to forge new partnerships with businesses and organisations to support our wide-ranging learning and participation programme. We work to engage as many young people as we can each year in activities that inspire and entertain them with the joy of theatre, and our inaugural Spooky Masque Ball will help support and further our commitment to this.”
