From Friday 1st December 2017 to Saturday 23rd December 2017
The Fairhurst Gallery in Norwich will host an exhibition by two young artists, both renowned for their classical work.
The Fall of Light will include paintings and drawings by London-based artists Olivia Crane and Georgina Stanley. Alongside the exhibition the Fairhurst Gallery will be launching their new Gallery Shop, which will stock a range of special editions made by emerging and internationally established artists and designers.
London based artists Olivia Crane and Georgina Stanley both attended the Florence Academy of Art in 2011-13, where they learnt the techniques of the Old Masters and the ‘sight-size’ method.
As students of these traditional methods their paintings have an etherial quality of old. Their subjects revolve around still-life, portraiture and landscape. Whilst celebrating the imagery associated with academic painting, both artists also bring a gentle touch of modern life to their oeuvre.
Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm
* late night opening on Thursdays, throughout December, until 8pm *
