VisitNorwich is the official Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO) for Norwich. Promoting our city – and its businesses – is what we do. And we’d love you to join us.

VisitNorwich — Who We Are

We champion Norwich — its businesses, events, and people — to inspire tourism and local visits. As a non-profit organisation, we’re a small team with a big reach, acting as an extension of your own team to promote your business to a national, international, and highly engaged audience.

VisitNorwich represents a diverse membership across Norwich and Norfolk, from independent start-ups to established organisations. We’re funded by our members and supported by public bodies such as Norwich City Council — and that’s it. This independence means we’re free to work solely for the good of the city and the people who help it thrive.

What many businesses don’t realise is that VisitNorwich is also part of the Norwich BID (Business Improvement District). This gives us access to an extensive local network, a larger marketing budget, and valuable city-wide connections, expertise, and campaign opportunities.

As we turn the next page in Norwich’s City of Stories, we want to work with you to make the city truly unmissable. With exciting projects and events already planned for 2026–27 and beyond, there has never been a better time to become a VisitNorwich Member.

VisitNorwich membership runs for 12 months, starting in April each year, with the option to renew at the end of each membership year. Members benefit from:

VisitBritain and VisitEngland only work with the country’s 200 DMOs, not individual businesses, so membership with us will give you a connection to their weight, influence and experience.

Digital & Social

With a premium listing on our website, promotion on social media, and opportunities to be featured in our blog and newsletter, there’s plenty of ways to get your business seen.

  • Your listing on the VisitNorwich website has the potential to be seen by thousands of individual visitors to the site every month. And a chance to be seen on the top 5 Google returns for Norwich tourism.
  • You could also get the chance to tell your story through our VisitNorwich blog or the e-newsletter.
  • Take it further and choose an advertising package for our online marketing activities
  • We’re skilled with social media, so some of our promotion is generated in-house but we’re also adept at creating a stir with third party agencies too. If it’s the right platform, we’ll use it.

PR

PR is one of our strengths. Over the years we have consistently achieved coverage in the travel pages in national titles.

To get the most out of your membership, we urge you to actively share with us your news, product launches, changes and people stories – treat us as an extension of your own team. If we don’t know it, we can’t share it.

  • We submit story ideas and pitch press trips to media
  • Response to media call outs each week
  • With great relationships with local radio including BBC Radio Norfolk, we’ll update your audience with your events, festivities and special dates throughout the year.
  • Our interest is local but our coverage is national and international. We have access to local and national media via digital, print and broadcast, which means you will too. We also pitch to national media and engage with international media for even greater range.
  • Personal contacts in local and national media
  • PR online system TravMedia for national media call outs, press releases and networking
  • PR national media database via Vuelio, press releases and planning
  • Partner organisations: VisitEngland and VisitBritain
  • Travel guides
