It’s a tournament that only comes round once every four years- and in 2026 it’s bigger than ever! We’re talking about the FIFA World Cup, of course!
There’s nothing like the anticipation of fierce rivalries, the tension of a penalty shootout and the excitement of that winning goal. Especially when it’s shared with friends, family and fellow fans.
So, whether you’re searching for a spot to watch the entire tournament or you’ve already donned the red and white face paint for England’s upcoming matches, here’s where to watch the 2026 World Cup in Norwich.

When is the 2026 FIFA World Cup?
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is taking place from Thursday 11 June – Sunday 19 July, with the first match (Mexico vs. South Africa) played at Mexico City Stadium at 8pm BST and the final to take place at New York New Jersey Stadium at 8pm BST.
This year, there will be more teams than ever- 48, to be exact, hosted by, not one, but three nations in North America- Canada, Mexico and the United States. From Europe, England and Scotland are two of the teams to contest the hallowed title.
When Are England Playing?
This tournament, England are up against Croatia, Ghana and Panama in Group L, whose matches are taking place from 17 – 27 June. They’re ranked 4th in the competition (behind France, Spain and Argentina respectively).
England’s Group Stage Fixtures
Wednesday 17 June – England vs. Croatia, 9pm BST, Dallas Stadium (available on ITV1)
Tuesday 23 June – England vs. Ghana, 9pm BST, Boston Stadium (available on BBC One)
Saturday 27 June – Panama vs. England, 10pm BST, New York New Jersey Stadium (available on ITV 1)
If England make it through the groups, the knockout stage takes place from Sunday 28 June – Sunday 19 July, with the round of 32 from 28 June – 3 July and round of 16 from 4 – 7 July. Quarterfinals take place from 9 – 11 July and semi-finals 14 & 15 July. The match for 3rd place is set for Saturday 18 July, before the final on Sunday 19 July.

Yalm’s food hall is ready to welcome football fans for the World Cup
From your local neighbourhood pub to matches on the big screen in our buzzing venues, there’s plenty of choice to watch the FIFA World Cup in Norwich this summer.
On the Big Screen
EPIC Studios is set to be the home of Norwich’s biggest city centre fan zone for every one of England’s matches. Decked out in trestle tables and benches for the event, you can tuck into tasty street food and a drink from Norwich longest bar while the match is on (FREE, from 8pm).
At Norwich Arts Centre, settle in for the evening and watch England’s matches on their huge 5m x 5m screen! Expect a buzzing atmosphere perfect for families and groups of friends alike (adults £5, under 14s £2.50, from 7pm).
Then at The Waterfront, you can expect a dedicated England fan park throughout the World Cup, with multiple screens, street food, DJs and merchandise to fully immerse yourself in fan fever! And on the day of each of England’s group stage matches, you can enjoy a tribute act beforehand at 6.30pm- think Oasiz (17 June), Arctic Monkeys tribute (23 June) and The Killers tribute (27 June) (£10, 18+ years, from 6pm).
In the Pub
Across Norwich, you’ll be able to watch England’s matches and the rest of the tournament in pubs from NR1 to NR3.
In the city centre, head to The Murderers on Timber Hill- you’ll see their windows decorated with three lions and the gold FIFA trophy. Known for showing live sport, they’re showing World Cup matches from 11 June, including England’s, of course!
Nearby, the Lamb Inn is showing every match live- accompanied by delicious pub classics, sharing plates and pints. The Lamb is known to get busy, so we recommend booking a table for those you don’t want to miss! Elsewhere, the Pig & Whistle on Westlegate will also be showing a selection of matches across the tournament. Here, there’s no stress about booking, it’s all about walk-ins, matchday offers and soaking in the excitement. And on King Street, Bier Draak has the England matches covered (just make sure you book a table in person or via their Instagram)! They’re also showing every other game taking place within their opening hours- so why not savour a Belgian Tripel or German lager as you cheer on other European teams?
Across Norwich’s neighbourhoods, you can catch every one of England’s games at The Unthank Arms and The Warwick Arms (NR2), The Whalebone (NR3), The Trafford Arms and The Red Lion Bishopgate (NR1). Note that only The Warwick Arms and The Whalebone will be showing the 1am kickoffs! In the company of fellow football fans, your best friends or your family, immerse yourself in the buzzing atmosphere and fizzing excitement. Opt for a crisp pint, bubbly spritz or fresh soft drink to quench your thirst. And if you’re settling in at The Warwick, there’s deliciously fresh Luca Pizza (you’ll smell it before you see it!), tempting pub classics at The Red Lion, and elevated, yet hearty, dishes at The Unthank, Whalebone and Trafford Arms!
Other pubs to know are the Woolpack– showing England’s and Scotland’s fixtures, alongside a number of others (ideal if you’ve pulled out an underdog in your workplace sweepstake!), the Garden House, who are showing every single match, and the Hop Rocket, who will be showing England’s and Scotland’s matches (with the exception of matches from 11pm onwards) .
And if you’re in Norfolk, head to Barnham Broom, where you can watch every match of the tournament (excluding those that start in the early hours)! Take your seat in their relaxed Sports Bar (serving food until 9pm and open until late)- which also boasts impressive views of their glorious golf courses- and treat yourself to a delicious dinner (we’ve got our eye on the steak frites or Norwich-based Brick pizza) and a draught beer.

Fixtures With Friends
This summer, Yalm are showing an exciting selection of World Cup matches, including the opener, Japan vs. Netherlands (14 June), Germany vs. Ivory Coast (20 June) and England’s three group stage games (more to be announced). Head upstairs to their bustling food hall where you can watch the action from all angles on five screens (including a mega screen). While you’re here, we suggest sharing some mouthwatering dishes from Yalm’s eight kitchens and a refreshing drink from Skippers Bar. Or come a few hours earlier and try out Yalm’s newest addition- The Boardroom, where you can experience darts and shuffleboard. One thing’s for certain, booking is essential– your table is yours from 8pm for the duration of the match (from 8pm).
In Tombland, you can rely on Melville & Sons for a buzzing evening full of football fever! Take your seats on their sun kissed terrace and watch every match live on their outdoor screens. Pair that with ice-cold frozen pints and a specially curated, World Cup-themed menu and you’re guaranteed a fantastic night out with your team, cheering your side on as the sun goes down (booking recommended).
At Box 22 on Prince of Wales Road, it’s all about live sport, socialising and replicating the roar of stadium. There are 30 HD screens throughout the venue and Box 22 is showing every match- including the friendlies from 6 June. To celebrate the tournament launch, you can join Box 22’s watch party- complete with DJ, crisp pints, competitive games and moreish food from Norwich institution Zaks (whose burgers, wings and fries will power you through every fixture). Booking essential.
After an energetic round of padel, unwind with a well-deserved refreshment and tasty plate of food in front of the big game. Whether you’re keeping an eye on how England are getting on, or want to follow the whole tournament, Court de Padel is all about community- so take a seat and watch the World Cup together, whether that’s in their relaxed lounge area, with a celebratory drink in the bar or under the sun on their outdoor seating- where two 85 inch screens await!
