Ida + Q+A is presented at Cinema City in collaboration with the Sainsbury Centre’s current exhibition Living by the Rule: Contemporary meets Medieval.
Pawel Pawlikowski’s critically acclaimed Ida is a moving and intimate drama about a young novitiate nun in 1960s Poland who discovers a dark family secret dating back to the years of the Nazi occupation.
This beautifully directed Oscar winning drama will be followed by a panel discussion between exhibition co-curator Dr Edward Krčma, Associate Professor of Art History at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Dr Sarah Godfrey, Associate Professor Film and Television Studies at the UEA.
