We all know Dads can be difficult to buy gifts for. We don’t know why, but it’s always tricky to find that one perfect gift. Which can make shopping for Father’s Day an absolute nightmare.
But never fear. We’ve pulled together a list of all the best Norwich and Norfolk gifts and experiences that you can get your hands on for this Father’s Day on Sunday 20th June. Need to find something to tempt a total foodie? Then you’re in luck. Norwich and Norfolk is home to an incredible array of tasty treats, home brewed drink, and excellent eateries. Perfect for Father’s Day.
1. Lacons Brewery and Slate Cheese
Does an exclusive pairing of artisan cheeses and award-winning beers sound like something your favourite guy would enjoy? With dishes such as aged Fen Farm beef, Gressingham duck tart and ‘The Sunflower’ a dish made with Norfolk mead and Norwich Cathedral honey, it’s the perfect venue for such a special occasion! Grab a gift voucher (any value available), or for big fans of the restaurant, you could even treat them to a Benedicts mug or bottle of Gin.
4. The Last Wine Bar
A top recommendation for a fine dining experience is The Last Wine Bar. Tuck into Norfolk aged sirloin steak, griddled squash or even a half lobster! Situated in a former Victorian shoe factory, The Last Wine Bar has been around for 29 years, so they know their stuff when it comes to quality food. Gift vouchers are available for any value and can either be printed at home or sent direct to a recipient’s inbox on a day of your choice – a great way to surprise them!
Looking for comfort food rather than a fancy affair? With burgers, steak and egg, macaroni cheese and fish pie all on the menu, Bill’s is the place to go for a relaxed and scrumptious dinner! For lovers of tech, John Lewis is a great place to find that new gadget that they’ll just love. iPads, headphones and smartwatches can all be found among its vast electricals offering. Or for someone who is passionate about sport, there’s a wide range of accessories and sportswear you can get your hands on too.
8. The Book Hive
The Book Hive is a great place to explore if you’re shopping for a lover of books. And if you’re having trouble finding the right story, you can check out the bookseller’s picks on display around the store. They’re also happy to have a chat and help if you ever need a recommendation.
9. Chantry Place
With its wide selection of shops, Chantry Place is a great place to start gift hunting. For novelty gifts and little gadgets, take a look around Menkind. There’s also a HMV where you can pick up some vinyl’s or CD’s – whatever type of music they’re into (nice bit of classic rock anyone?).

10. Broads Tours
Treat that special someone to a day on the water, where they can be the captain of their own boat!
