Despite the weather trying its best to keep people indoors, May started off with a bang – or burst of colour – in Norwich! Inspired by a 390-year-old tradition, The Florists’ Feast, which first took place on May Day in 1631, Norwich has seen businesses across the city decking their doors with floral displays and garlands, sharing their work across social media on #NorwichBlooms. These new installations are part of the Norwich Business Improvement District’s Spring Garlands initiative celebrating spring and the city opening back up.

Norwich Blooms
With over thirty businesses across Norwich decking their doors, windows and interiors with stunning installations, the city has become a haven of beauty and creativity (even more so than usual!) And it’s just waiting for you to come and enjoy it.
Coffee shops, department stories and bookshops have all turned out in style, decorated with everything from artificial flowers and freshly cut bouquets to paper decorations. As England opens up again, Norwich truly is blooming.

Full of gorgeous jewellery and homeware on the inside, it only makes sense to decorate the outside to match. Wander down to Lower Goat Lane to see Lisa Angel’s beautiful display.
Thorns DIY Store
Heading down to Exchange Street for all your DIY needs? You’ll get an extra treat when you see this pretty in pink display at Thorns.
Scaped Nature
St Giles Street is home to Scaped Nature, which brings nature indoors with aquascaping and terrariums. We absolutely love this handmade garland welcoming everyone back to the city.
Tombland Bookshop
Tombland Bookshop have gotten creative with their garland display. These paper flowers are fantastic – and quite fitting!
Flicka Norwich
Head to Dove Street for Scandi interiors, toys, decor and more at Flicka. Oh, and don’t miss their gorgeous window display. We love the springtime vibes!
Cupcake & Co
Feeling a little tired after taking a tour of the displays? Give yourself a treat for all that walking and head to Cupcake & Co on Upper St Giles Street for some cake and coffee.
The Jade Tree
Gifts galore can be found at The Jade Tree on Elm Hill, as well as some beautiful floral decorations! We especially love their bicycle decor.
The Royal Arcade
One of the most beautiful, covered shopping streets in Norwich, The Royal Arcade just got even better with their spring garland!
Got a spring in your step from all these spring garlands? Well don’t let it stop there. From 18th May until 26th June, Fairhurst Gallery & Workshop’s new exhibition ‘Walking Through Flowers’ by Clare Coles will celebrate finding solace in nature and the uplifting, revitalising qualities of springtime blooms.
