Contemporary Freedom of Movement

Chapelfield

Contemporary Freedom of Movement is a great opportunity to explore physical theatre and engage with your creative self.

Each workshop will begin with a specific stimulus. This could be a piece of text, an object, image or piece of music. Based on body movement, freedom and creativity, this unique piece of ensemble theatre will be influenced by personal experiences and emotions. You will learn new skills such as contact improvisation, motif work and devising techniques.

This project will culminate in the telling of a story through movement, gesture and voice. Introducing a series of physical exercises you will begin to discover how a collective body breathes, thinks, feels and moves.

These sessions take place Tuesdays 9 Jan – 5 Mar excluding half term 20 Feb
