Take this wonderful opportunity to spend the day exploring our exquisite landscape with head gardener, Mark Morrell. You’ll be treated to guided tours of ‘behind-the-scenes’ outdoor areas, as well as an exclusive tour of Holkham Hall by Candlelight.
Your day will begin with a warming cuppa and a guided tour of the Walled Garden, which will be closed to the general public. You’ll see and hear all about the recently renovated glasshouses, and plans for the year ahead.
Following this, you’ll head over to the Hall to for an exclusive tour around the private gardens of The Earl and Countess of Leicester, which are normally closed to the public. Together, with your small group, you’ll be exploring the spectacular arboretum with its many unusual and rare specimen trees, and the intricate patterns of the formal parterres on the terraces surrounding the Hall.
After an eventful morning in nature, it will be time for a leisurely lunch in our Courtyard Café, included with your ticket.
After lunch will be your tour of Holkham Hall by Candlelight. See the Hall decorated in all its Christmas splendour, with a special focus on how elements of the design have been inspired by the landscape.
