Meet Super Mario superstars at Castle Quarter this Easter

Castle and Marketplace

Two of the most recognisable gaming characters of all time are set to make an appearance in Norwich this April at Norwich’s leading social, leisure and lifestyle destination, Castle Quarter.

Super Mario Bros, Mario and Luigi have been the main stars of countless Nintendo games over the decades and are about to appear on our cinema screens too this April, with the release of the brand new The Super Mario Bros Movie.

Celebrating the release of the film (screening nationwide from 7th April 2023) Castle Quarter is bringing Mario and Luigi to Norwich over the Easter weekend, giving Nintendo fans, families and gamers the chance to meet the Mario Bros in person.

Dressed in their iconic red and green under blue dungarees, the superstar siblings will race round Castle Quarter on Saturday 8th April, located on different levels, between 12pm and 4pm.

There will be four 30 minute opportunities for meet and greets.
Race to Castle Quarter to track the Super Mario Brothers down and snap a selfie with them at the following times:

• 12pm at Level 1
• 1.30pm at Level 2
• 2.30pm at Level 1
• 3.30pm at Level 4 & 5

Gemma Hyde, Marketing and Administration Manager at Castle Quarter says; “Mario and Luigi could be the most iconic, most famous characters from the gaming world, and we’re thrilled to be bringing them to Castle Quarter to meet their fans in real life. The Super Mario Bros Movie is out from 7 April so you can catch that at Vue cinema here at Castle Quarter, and then why not head to our retro video game arcade and gaming lounge, Retro Replay for some classic gaming fun afterwards. Or if VR games are more your thing, we have the new, bigger Vector VR experience with its VR gaming pods on level 1 too. All great reasons to visit us for a fun day out over Easter.”

Castle Quarter’s Super Mario Bros event is free to attend and suitable for all ages.

No need to book.
