Norwich Wine Week – Emerging Regions with Steve Daniels
Take your place at a very special one off event for Norwich Wine Week with YALM suppliers, Hallgarten wines.
We are super pleased to have Steve Daniels (head wine buyer) with us for the day to explore wines from emerging regions in our private dining room.
We have two very limited opportunities (one lunch and one evening session – book below) to taste a selection of 6 esoteric wines from emerging regions paired with small plates from Eric Snaith and his team.
Steve Daniel, Head of Buying at Hallgarten & Novum Wines, is famed for having one of the most respected palates in the industry and with introducing modern Greek wine into the UK.
Following a highly successful 16 year career as buying director in the golden age of Oddbins where he helped to win the coveted Wine Merchant of The Year Award 15 times, Daniel went on to work as a consultant for many of the big names in wine, then set up his own agency, Novum Wines, before becoming part of the Hallgarten team.
Leading the buying team since 2010, Daniel has helped steer the wine portfolio to become one of the most respected in the industry and the go-to supplier for esoteric wines.
Established in 1933 and purchased by Coterie Holdings in 2023, Hallgarten & Novum wines is one of the UK’s leading ‘specialist’ wine distributors. With over 90 years of experience, Hallgarten imports wines from producers in all corners of the winemaking world, supplying the country’s premium On and Off Trade.
In 2018, the business achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation for its dedication to minimising its environmental impact, as well as successfully meet all criteria to attain Silver Investors in People accreditation in 2023.

Norwich Wine Week with Flint Vineyard
As part of Norwich Wine week we have the wonderful Flint Vineyard joining us to showcase their incredible local wines, made in Suffolk.
With two ticket types available there will be something for everyone.

Flint Vineyard has been making wine since 2016 and in that short time has become recognised as one of England’s most exciting new wine producers and will be tasting the following for this event:

Winemaker Ben Witchell’s philosophy is based on his experience, which combines studying the science of wine and appreciating the traditional elements of the process.
