Once Upon a Time… at Holkham – February Half Term

Norfolk

Make your own stories this half term at Holkham with brilliant book-themed trails, creative bookworm crafts, a gripping parkland tales trail and our fun woodland play area.

Here’s what to expect:

IN HOLKHAM STORIES:
From the archive – Our archivist Lucy Purvis has unearthed some fascinating stories of people who have lived and worked at Holkham over the years. Follow the trail around the exhibition to learn more about these characters. Who will be your favourite?
From cover to cover – we’ve hidden copies of our favourite books all around the exhibition. How many different books can you spot? Have you read any?

IN THE EDUCTION ROOM:
Join our education team for crafts related to all things literary! Make your own bookworm bookmark, design your autobiography book cover and add your own line to our ‘never-ending story’

HOLKHAM PARK:
Holkham Tales Trail – Holkham Park has so many iconic landmarks, but do you know the story behind them? Pick up a trail from Visitor Reception to visit four landmarks, learn the story about each and collect a stamp. As a reward for all your hard work, take your completed trail back to Visitor Reception to receive a small treat.

ADVENTURE PLAY AREA:
Burn off some steam in our woodland play area.

NATURE TRAIL:
Enjoy an amble around Holkham Lake and learn something new on your way. The nature trail starts just beyond the boat hire pontoon.

Indoor activities £5.50 adults, £2.50 children.
Outdoor activities free.
