Projection One is a DJ collective from Norwich which came together through a shared passion for Afrobeat and Latin music. They played their first gig in late 2018 and after cutting their teeth around Norwich pubs, they found a home for a while in the Rumsey Wells Underbelly. Here they built a reputation for putting on popular nights showcasing their favourite records from around the world, focusing on Afrobeat, Highlife, Cumbia, Latin, Funk and house party floor fillers. Highlights of the last year have been fun-filled sets at Last Pub Standing, a headliner at Harlequin Fayre and they’re own Summer Shindig at Norwich Arts Centre. They aim to bring people together through a love of upbeat tropical music that makes you move.
Tropical Shakedown was formed as a collective specialising in tropical raregroove soucous afrobeat highlife cumbia West indies Island rarities and ethio jazz. Formed by Keith Slater and Cameron Black. on the back of Boiling Point parties and radio show .
Keith carried his tropical fire on dancefloors across Europe Inc regular guest for Analog Africa in Germany.
