Still time for free summer fun at Castle Quarter

Castle and Marketplace

The countdown to back to school might be on, but there’s still time to enjoy free summer holiday activities at Castle Quarter, Norwich’s leading leisure, entertainment and lifestyle destination.

The free jungle sculpture trail, featuring a whole host of exotic creatures, is on until 1 September. Spot all 10 animal sculptures, including a giraffe, monkey, and tiger to enter the free prize draw and be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher.

Pick up a trail sheet (or download from Castle Quarter’s website) to record your rare sightings. And once completed, pop your entry into the post box by the spiral staircase in White Lion Square.

Plus, for any children curious about what it’s like to be a police officer or a paramedic in the sky, there are more chances this August to meet real-life Norfolk heroes from the emergency services.

On Saturday 26 August, the East Anglian Air Ambulance will be visiting Castle Quarter, followed by Norfolk Police on Tuesday 29 August, both appearing between 10am and 4pm.

Ask questions, try on uniform and learn lots about the incredible jobs they do to keep people throughout Norfolk safe and well.

Gemma Hyde, marketing manager at Castle Quarter, says: “We’ve had a bumper summer of free events, with the bug zoo experience back again, Alpacas visiting us in the Castle gardens, Barbie making a guest star appearance and everyone enjoying spotting our jungle themed creatures in and around Castle Quarter. But we’re not done yet. We still have events happening right up until the new term starts, as visitors squeeze every bit of fun out of summer.”
